The Anvil Inn was established in January of 1974, in the town of Cicero In. By Bob and Kathy Durst was an empty building which had been neglected for many years. The building was built in 1884 and was used as a blacksmith shop until early 1900 and then transitioned into a harness and buggy shop. Later it was used as a church and then various other shops followed. The Anvil Inn was the only polling place in Hamilton County Indiana that never voted togo "dry" during Prohibition. Today it is a restaurant with a full service bar and we only sever dinner. We are open, Wednesday Through Saturday. Hours are Wed and Thursday 5-9 Friday and Saturday 5-I0 PM. The restaurant is closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. We do Private party's ,call for information. |
